I’m all about the grill in the summer and my kiddos are all about the Hebrew National beef frank hot dogs! Those of you who stop in often know that my youngest has severe food allergies so I trust and appreciate Hebrew National’s pure ingredients to keep everyone in the family craving the all-American treat.

Although my kiddos prefer Hunt’s ketchup and Gilden’s Mustard above all other topping choices, I talked everyone into trying a new flavor combination: a Hawaiian inspired frank! Let me tell you… it was a HUGE hit!
I thought the blend of sweet and savory flavors would be the perfect summer bite. And I hate to toot my own horn and tell you I was right… but I was right. {wink} It’s a mouthful and you’ll enjoy every single chomp!
You’ll need:
- Peaches (cut into slivers that can slide along your bun like the pickle in a Chicago Style frank)
- Pineapple (cut into small chunks)
- Red Onion (cut into slivers)
- Mango Chutney (you can find it on your spice isle, or you can whip up your own from scratch with the recipe below)
- Hebrew National franks (we like the Jumbo!)
Homemade Mango Chutney Recipe, you’ll need:
- 2 1/2 cups diced mangos
- 1 (1-inch) piece peeled fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 Scotch bonnet pepper, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- fresh ground black pepper
Simple instructions: Place all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 25 minutes until thick. Allow to cool.
Go ahead, push the proverbial flavor envelope with my Hawaiian Hebrew National frank. You won’t be disappointed!
With grilling season upon us, everyone is craving an all-American hot dog. What makes a kosher hot dog different? It’s all about what makes the cut… and what doesn’t {wink}. Hebrew National is choosy about what goes into their franks – only 100% pure kosher beef so you know what you’re getting and they taste great. No artificial flavors, colors, fillers or byproducts. Just the way I like to feed my family!
As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and yes… always celebrate!
