Are your kids as giddy as mine about the last day of school?! Bring on SUMMER! {wink} You can all count down to the big day with a super easy to make Chalkboard Countdown Calendar!
Here’s what you’ll need to make a chalkboard countdown to the last day of school … or to the first day of summer… and you can find it all at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores:
- Chalkboard 12×12 (this one is magnetic for my next chalkboard project!)
- Frame 12×12
- Cricut Explore Air (or Cricut Explore with bluetooth adapter)*
- Cricut Design Space app for iPad® (or you can use your desktop/laptop if you don’t have an iPad)
- My Countdown graphic in Design Space (personalizing, resizing, etc. is so easy!)
- 12×12 Cricut Mat
- Cricut Vinyl Stencil
- Cricut Transfer Tape
- Chalk marker, fine tip
- Optional: Tape, Ruler
Now for the super simple tutorial, just hop over to my latest post on the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores blog, Creative Spark. You’ll get the full written tutorial as well as a pictorial. I’m personally visual so the picture by picture helps me craft it the first time! {grin}
By the way, did you see that Cricut just came out with the Explore One? It’s the same great machine, but a bit less expensive than the Cricut Explore (one step cut & write) and Cricut Explore Air (one step cut & write plus wireless). It’s the perfect starter machine because you can upgrade it if you want those other features. Compare all three machines and let’s get crafting!
As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!
