Do you love a funny t-shirt?! Oh yeah! Me too! This silly tee is something I whipped up with the new Trendy T-shirt collection in Cricut Design Space.
I love making DIY T-shirts. They’re so easy to design in Cricut Design Space and it’s just a bit of iron-on. I will tell you that you need to have patience when you’re weeding out the design, but a cup of coffee and you could call it therapy. {wink}
Not only is this a new design, I used the new flocked iron. It’s so soft and perfect for a onesie. Come to think of it… this design would be perfect on a onesie!
Let’s get crafty! You’ll only need a few things:
- T-shirt
- Cricut black glitter iron-on
- Cricut pink flocked iron-on
- Cricut blue glitter iron-on
- Cricut standard mat
- Cricut Explore Air
- Weeding tool
- Iron
Whip this DIY t-shirt up in less than 20 minutes with these easy steps:
- Design – open Cricut Design Space (new design available in two weeks, but you can make many more right now!). Depending on the cut of your shirt you may want to lay your shirt flat, measure it across, divide it to find your center point, and size your design to fit.
- Mat – apply the iron on, liner side down, to mat.
- Cut – read the directions on the package, but make sure that you absolutely “Mirror-Image” your cut or you’ll need to look in a mirror to read it. {wink}
- Weed – weed out all the iron-on that isn’t your image.
- Iron – iron your shirt to heat up the fabric, place the image with liner on top, iron in 15 second intervals. Also a good idea to flip the shirt and iron the back too just to make sure it’s all set. When you come to the pink, just iron it over top. Tip: Allow each layer to fully cool before removing liner.
There are lots of preset designs in the new Cricut Trendy Tshirt collection: NOW AVAILABLE!
