Create an enchanted teacup fairy garden in minutes! With summer here I’m really focusing on my flower garden and these darling fairy supplies from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores are just the perfect touches for my front porch planter.
I love the fairy garden trend. I’m a huge kid myself plus I’d rather be outdoors than indoors, so little enchanted gardens like this one make me giddy. With Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores having so many pretty fairy garden accessories from fairy houses, to fairy table and chairs, to mini trees, to Cinderella-ish carriages, to garden fences, it’s so easy to create a little fairy retreat in minutes!
For the fairy home, there are some darling ones, but I really wanted to create a teacup fairy garden so I chose a teapot bird feeder instead to serve as my fairy abode. Once I chose the house, I selected items that were to scale for my feeder. The Cinderella carriage was the first item that I simply couldn’t live without.
You’ll need a few things from JoAnn to create your enchanted fairy garden:
- Teacup or teapot bird feeder
- Flower pot
- Fairy accessories
- Pea gravel or small rocks
- Moss
- Sheet white paper
- Paper trimmer
- Fine point pen
Other items:
- Floral rod to hang above
- Potting soil
- Mini flowers, preferably vines
Easy how-to steps:
1. Pot the plants leaving half of the space in the planter open.
2. Insert floral rod and hang teapot bird feeder.
3. Using pea gravel and moss, decorate some areas of the garden.
4. Insert fairy décor, like the carriage, swing, etc.
5. Create mini accessories. You want to make your fairy abode a home! {wink}
Want to make your fairy a little book?
It’s so easy. Just cut a ½ wide strip of paper, and then cut it into 1 inch segments. Stack, fold, and write on the mini book! I have a spot on my porch with a lovely white bench and lots of blooming flowers. I like to sit in this spot and read or watch my boys play. This darling little fairy world is the perfect addition for my favorite summer spot.
