I love my Cricut Explore Air 2. It gives me all the creative freedoms that I dreamed about for so many years, and now I’m going to give the gift of Cricut to my mom for her birthday!
I started crafting with Cricut way back when they were first on the market. It was so impressive at the time. Never did I dream that 10 years later Cricut would have created a machine that literally gives you the ultimate creative freedom with a tool that will cut more than 100+ materials, allow you to load your own designs, offer more than 60,000 designs if you’re not a designer, write, score, and on and on. Needless to say, this company has won my heart!
Giving The Gift Of Cricut
So I’ve decided to invest in another machine for my mom. She’s loves to sew. Paper crafting was never really her thing, but now that Cricut can cut fabric, as well as a multitude of other materials that she can sew and can be used for sewing, like template material, iron-on, etc. I think it’s time she had one of her own!
Essential Cricut Tools
To get her started I’ve gathered what I think the essential tools are so she can start crafting right away with her new Cricut Explore Air 2. Don’t you love the mint color of the machine?! It comes in other colors too. Have a look! Oh, and don’t tell her because this is all a surprise for her birthday in August! {grin}
- Essential Tool Set (trimmer, scraper, scissors, and more!)
- Glitter Iron-On
- Vinyl
- Transfer Tape
- Cutting Mats
- Pens
- Glitter Cardstock
Other Cricut Tools I Want
Here are a few more things I’d like for myself, and for my mom.
Cricut just came out with a Bright Pad. I make a ton of iron-on t-shirts, and intricate paper cuts. This tool is perfect for that. Or, for older crafters who maybe don’t have as good of eyesight as they once had (no offense mom)!
The other thing, or things, I’m dying for are the new carry cases! Have you seen them? Oh my they’re so pretty and stylish.
Projects To Make With Cricut
If you have a Cricut, I’d love to craft with you! If you don’t, you really need one! In either case, I strongly suggest getting as many of these items as you can. Here are just a few of the projects you can make:
- Amazing Grace Graphic Tee & Free SVG Cut File
- Darling Personalized Backpack in Minutes
- Monogrammed Rain Boots With Cricut
- Baby Shower Bee Hive Cupcake Toppers
- Baby Shower Bee Invitation
As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!
