Ever carve a fabulous pumpkin or make an adorable pumpkin craft only to have the darn thing whither up on you?! I have! But, not this year. Instead of using a real pumpkin I’m using an artifical Funkin to make this easy-to-create monogram pumpkin.
JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores has Funkins! You know, the artificial carvable foam pumpkins that look so much like real pumpkins that you almost forget they’re not. Yep, those.
I wanted to monogram a pumpkin for my mantel so I gathered a few supplies with the help of my friends at JoAnn. I especially love that my new Funkin monogram pumpkin is reusable!
And guess what?! JoAnn wants to give a lucky reader a bit of holiday crafting help too! At the bottom of this post I’m giving away a $50 gift card to JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores to buy anything you like. {giddy}
To make your own monogram pumpkin you’ll need:
- Funkin pumpkin from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores
- Martha Stewart Crafts hole punch (mine has three sizes to choose from, I used the largest size)
- Print out of your initial (I used Word and tested a few sizes on my pumpkin to see what worked best)
- Tape
- Optional – Martha Stewart Habanaro and Metallic Copper Craft Paint
