Tweens and teens are the hardest to plan birthday parties for. They’re too old for themes and they’re too cool for anything organized. That said, everyone loves a good movie night.
If you have a in-home theater, create a buffet of movie treats including popcorn, sodas and assorted chocolate bars and let them be. And if you don’t, no worries. You can host pre-movie treats at your house and then shuttle the kids off to the theater, most even have private event facilities you can rent.
Or, simply invite the girls over for a night in. All you’ll need to do is add a cocktail bar to the movie treats buffett and you can call it a success.
And don’t you just love this cake?! It’s from a 2005 Better Homes and Gardens “kid’s parties” issue and I fell in love with it. My oldest was only one at the time, but I’ve saved it all these years knowing that someday I’ll get to make it.
Oh, and of course the movie night invitation and party supplies are available in the shoppe. {wink} Enjoy!
