Strawberry Picnic Table Decorations Perfect For Patriotic Holidays

I have a thing for the strawberry, strawberry crafts, strawberry picnic, strawberry fabric. {grin} So when I saw this darling red, white and blue fabric at JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores I knew I had to have it to decorate for my patriotic holidays. We usually have Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day BBQs and these crafts will be perfect for all three!

If you’ve not sewn ruffles before, no worries. I have a full sewing tutorial (and pictorial) of the step by step process that I’m posting tomorrow. It’s actually pretty simple!

But let’s skip the sewing lesson for a day, and let me show you all the pretty details and patterns! I’m a big fan of mixing patterns. For this party, I paired the strawberry and blueberry pattern with a blue and white polka dot. In m opinion, it’s just the right balance to make the graphic pattern pop!

And once I got started with the tablecloth, I wanted to bring that pattern into more aspects of the table so I made chair backs.

They’re really just a smaller version of my tablecloth with the ruffle only on one side. They stayed in place really well, but on a windy day I think I would have wanted a small tie or even glue on Velcro to keep them in place.

Add a few more touches like surged cloth napkins, hanging lanterns, flowers, and maybe a strawberry paper craft or two, and you have a party!
