The Big Football Game AND your party are only a few short weeks away! And I’ve got your back ladies! This morning I’m sharing 8 fun, easy and stylish ideas to make your football party table more than just the halftime show. Yep, no flag on the field here! {grin}

Let’s start with the football party snack table set-up. I grabbed many of these fun football party supplies at World Market, a store you can always count on for gourmet foods and beverages with unique flavors and origins.

My absolute favorite find for this football party is my backdrop, a weathered map of the United States. Not only is this perfect for the Big Game, but for all my football parties (or any sport for that matter) throughout the year.

I made this little pennant banner that I can move between states as different teams play! By the way, the pennant colors will be updated for this year’s Big Game once the final teams are announced. More details below! And if you want to make your own pennant, I’m going to post the easy how tos later this week.

My hubby thought the Beers of the World were a must!

And of course I had to have a cupcake or two… well I mean, of course right! You can download my free Game Day cupcake templates in 2013 colors here.

The boys had to have their pick too. Football shaped pretzels and Artichoke and Spinach Chips. And yes, kids do love them!

Want to recreate part or all of this table for your football party? Here are my resources:

  • Backdrop – map of the United States from World Market
  • Tablecloth – green indoor outdoor carpeting from your local hardware store
  • Serving items – blue lunch bags from your local grocery, popcorn containers from World Market
  • Pre-made snacks – UTZ football shaped pretzels and Jensen’s Orchard Spinach and Artichoke Chips from World Market
  • Beverages – Beers of the World from World Market
  • Serving dishes – 3-tier cupcake and mini pizza display from World Market
  • Food labels – chalkboard placecards and food labels from World Market
  • Free printable party supplies – cupcake wrappers, cupcake picks and pennant banner are my designs, The Celebration Shoppe, and the colors have been updated for the 2013 Big Game (updated each year). As well as decorating for my Big Game party, I also made a few recipes. The first, and likely my favorite food item on the table, is Chocolate Bacon Popcorn. Yep, you read me right. World Market sells Bacon Salt and it gave me this inspiration for this little sweet and salty treat. Your guests will love it!

To make Chocolate Bacon Popcorn you’ll need:

  • 6 cups of air popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate melts (available at your local grocery or craft store with a baking section)
  • J&D’s Bacon Salt
  • Wax paper

And the simple steps for Chocolate Bacon Popcorn:

  • To start, spread your popcorn on the wax paper (you’ll likely need to do this in 2-3 batches)
  • Now place your chocolate melts in a resealable plastic bag (snipped on one end) or in a small glass bowl and heat in the microwave in 8 second intervals, three times, or until melted
  • Immediately drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn
  • Before chocolate cools, shake on J&D’s Bacon Salt to your desired taste.

8 0679 mini toast pizza recipe

I also made mini pizzas, a favorite of our family since I was a kid. We typically use pumpernickel bread, but I found these yummy Minigrill Mini Toasts at World Market and they turned out perfectly.

To make Mini Toast Party Pizzas you’ll need:

  • Ground beef, cooked and strained
  • Ground sausage, cooked and strained
  • Original pizza sauce
  • Cheddar, Sharp and Mozzarella and Provolone blended
  • Minigrill Mini Toasts from World Market

And the simple how to steps for Mini Toast Party Pizza:

  • First, blend your cooked meats and pizza sauce in a pan and bring to a simmer
  • Next, add a small amount of your cheese mixture allowing it to melt
  • Now top mini toasts with mixture
  • Finally, drizzle remaining cheese on top

By the way, World Market isn’t just great for celebrations. They have a wonderful array of ideas and products for decorating your home. I personally want some of their whimsical white wall frames for my studio makeover, but they have furniture, including chairs and sofas (there was one gray number that would be beautiful in my living room!), end tables, and on and on. If you’re looking to freshen up your home for the new year, you should absolutely give World Market a browse!
