Before we’re back to school, I like getting our study spots ready. My kids start back on Monday and we’re all set up. All the critical elements are there, like the chalkboard calendar I shared last week, personalized notebooks, pencil candy (which I LOVE). But beyond all the essentials, I like to let them personalize the space too. JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores has these fun little galvanized metal letters for about $1 each. For the overall kids study desk photos I just used ABC, but my kids initials are actually AB and CB so we personalized their spots with a few more letters.
I painted these letters gold with Krylon spray paint, but they’d be awesome in a multitude of colors, or even with patterns if you wanted to get creative with painters tape. {wink} I love how they turned out.
To create your own painted letters, you’ll need:
Easy How To Steps For Making these Kids Study Desk Letters:
- Lay letters on drop cloth.
- Spray paint (in a well ventilated area) each letter from all angles. I suggest two to three light coats until covered so you don’t have drips.
Super cute and super easy! If only waking up early and getting back into packing lunches were that easy {wink!}.
