I love an easy treat and these Rice Krispies Treats carrots for Easter are the easiest!
I have a good time in the kitchen with my kids and these came about a few years ago when we were getting ready for Easter. Rice Krispies Treats are often my “go to” sweet snack, but they can’t always be the boring bar, right. {wink}
To make these easy Rice Krispies Treats carrots you’ll need:
- 12 Rice Krispies Treats
- White Wilton chocolate wafer melts (or cake icing for a dairy-free version), available at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores
- Wilton orange gel food coloring, available at Jo-Ann
- Toothpicks
- Green crepe paper
- Martha Stewart fringe scissors, available at Jo-Ann
- Tape
These carrot shaped Rice Krispies Treats only take a few minutes:
- Cut each Rice Krispies Treat into a triangle (just shaving off the sides to a point).
- Heat 20 chocolate wafers in a microwave safe bowl in 8-second intervals until melted.
- Color chocolate with orange gel food coloring.
- Dip the triangle treats and roll to cover both sides.
- Allow to partially dry and swipe a toothpick across top to look like ridges.
- Roll crepe paper for stem, cut a quarter of the length off, fringe top and tape bottom.
- Insert toothpick in top and attach crepe topper.
