The countdown to Christmas is about to begin! This year, I made the whole family these darling little advent monogram stockings to hide little surprises in each morning as we count down the days until the big guy comes sliding down our chimney!
I like tucking little notes and candy in them. The notes might say, bake cookies, go sledding, wrap gifts… something fun that we can do as a family to get us in the holiday spirit! For these mini advent stockings, you’ll need:
- Cloth stockings, Heidi Swapp available at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores
- Red glitter iron on (you can buy pre-cut designs or if you have a die cut machine make your own!)
- Glitter clothespins
- Ribbon
- Iron
- Optional: Die cutting machine
You’ll only need a few supplies to make
These little stockings come with the darling black and whites stripe cuff. All you need to do is cut your iron-on in the shape of the initial (I used a font in my die cut machine), or use pre-cut iron-ons from the craft store, follow the instructions on the packaging for ironing the design on, and they’re done. You can literally make these in less than 30 minutes! Then, hang ribbon, pin your perfect little advent stockings up and the only thing left to do is fill them with smiles each morning until Christmas!
Hop on over to your local Jo-Ann or JoAnn.com and get some of these pretties! Heidi has cookie cutters, treat packaging, cards and more.
As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!
