Looking for a sandwich recipe to serve for Super Bowl? I have the ultimate game day -tailgate -Super Bowl food with these easy roast beef sandwiches and au jus.
We’re a football family. Admittedly we watch more college than pro, but when it comes to the Super Bowl, we’re always up for the celebration! I mean the commercials alone are worth watching. {wink} This year we’re keeping it small with an all family guest list, but that doesn’t mean we skimp on the food. Good game day food is a must and it gives me an excuse to make my all time favorite roast beef sandwich.
To make French dip roast beef sliders with au jus you’ll need:
- 2lbs sliced roast beef
- 2 large yellow onions
- 2 large green bell peppers
- 1b Swiss cheese
- Sourdough rolls
- butter
- au jus
- skillet with lid
Yields: 5 full sandwiches
These are so easy to make:
- Slice onions and peppers
- Heat skillet to medium and toss in onions, peppers and a bit of butter, cover, sauté until slightly golden and remove from heat
- Heat roast beef until warm
- Cut buns and lay open face, top with meat, veggies, Swiss cheese and bake at 350 for 10 minutes until melted
- Make au jus (I use a mix along with the juices from the roast beef)
I serve these up on small plates with dipping bowls, a few sides and of course good drinks. Admittedly, these sandwiches are a little messy, but it’s so worth it. {wink}
