Are you a team mom or just want to show spirit for your child’s sports team? I’m team mom for my boys’ baseball team this year so I whipped up this team mom t-shirt. It took me less than 15 minutes.
My boys play on the same team this year, yay! And my hubby is the coach along with another friend of ours, yay! So of course I volunteered as team mom, yay! I love watching my kids play so it’s a lot of fun for me. I keep the book during the game (and I only mess up a little…) and often stand in the dugout to keep the boys in line and ready. I get “in the hole” and “on deck” mixed up from time to time, but they help me out. {wink}
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Cricut Explore Air (or Cricut Explore with bluetooth adapter, or the new Cricut One for a lower price point and all the fun)
- Cricut Design Space app for iPad® (or you can use your desktop/laptop if you don’t have an iPad)
- my Team Mom T-Shirt project in Design Space (personalizing, resizing, changing sports, etc. is so easy!)
- 12×12 Cricut Mat
- Cricut Iron On (I used the black glitter)
- Iron and Pressing Cloth
It’s as simple as:
- Design – open the app, use my design or making your own
- Cut – load iron-on to mat and press go (make sure you click “iron-on” so that it makes it a mirror image… otherwise your design will be backward. Yep… did that once. It was like reading a secret code.)
- Iron – apply the design to a preheated shirt (just press area for 15-20 seconds), and use a pressing cloth so it doesn’t melt to the iron. I also suggest flipping it over and pressing from the other side once cooled a bit so you ensure adhesion. Just follow the directions on the packaging and you’ll be great.
If you’re not a team mom, you can make a spirit shirt or a spirit mug (with vinyl). The possibilities are endless. Go team!
