This summer I’ve been in love with the blueberry and lemon flavor combination. We had friends coming over, I was running behind… you know the scenario.
I had planned to make a semi-homemade cake using a Duncan Hines Lemon Supreme cake mix, but totally ran out of time. So instead, I baked the cake (exchanged oil for apple sauce, healthier but not as fluffy), warmed the Duncan Hines lemon frosting into a drizzle and topped with fresh blueberries. Everyone thought it was amazing. Just the right hint of lemon for a dessert on the run!
Lesson: Not everything delish has to be from scratch. {wink}
