Make A Difference – Share A Meal and Help End Child Hunger in America

Project sunlight feed the children
FacebookTweetPinEmail

I’m taking a small break from talking about parties and crafts today to talk about something very important and dear to my heart: child hunger.

Project Sunlight: Feed The Children Campaign

Did you know that one in five children in America are food insecure? One in five! This number breaks my heart and brings tears to my eyes. And it’s not neglected children that need assistance. It’s often children from good homes that just need a little help getting by in today’s economy.

As a mom of two boys, I can’t image not being able to feed them. And not just feed them, but feed them healthy foods so that they can concentrate, learn and grow. I’m a firm believer that healthy eating habits young, are the foundation of a healthy life. These children, so many children… don’t even have the option.

Please watch this short video from Unilever. It will make your heart ache, but my hope is that it will also drive you to go out into your community and make a difference. Remember, small steps are better than no steps at all.

Learn more about how to get involved by going to ProjectSunlight.us.  You can also share your thoughts on twitter with #ShareAMeal or just search the hashtag to see how others are helping. The Project Sunlight team would love to hear from you!

Stop Child Hunger

I hope you’re inspired to make a difference!
