Frankenstein is one of my favorite Halloween characters to make into fun and silly crafts, like this easy DIY Halloween favor box.

Easy DIY Foil Frankenstein Favor Boxes | Kim Byers

With Halloween quickly approaching, that means little ghosts and goblins coming to your door! Of course you might not make these for every trick-or-treater (especially if you live in my neighborhood where we get about 300 kids a year!), but these are super fun for those special neighbors. Plus it’s always fun to see their faces when they realize you made them something special. These are also a perfect Halloween favor box for all your Halloween party guests or for classroom parties!

Here’s what you’ll need to make my Frankenstein Halloween favor boxes:

  • Minc paper pack
  • Minc machine
  • Minc transfer folder
  • Green foil
  • Black shimmer cardstock
  • Clear take-out boxes
  • Optional: Green gumballs

Easy DIY steps for your Frankenstein Halloween favor box:

  1. Cut – First cut out the shapes using Minc paper packs. I chose a gingham for the hair and mouth, which is actually just his scar, and polka dot paper for his eyes. For the bolts I used a shimmer black paper.
  2. Preheat – Next, turn your Minc machine to 3
  3. Foil – Now insert print and foil in transfer folder
  4. Build – Attach foiled paper to the boxes with clear glue dots.
  5. Fill – Last but not least, fill with your favorite treat.

Want to know more about the Minc machine?

  • Minc Foil Applicator and Starter Kit MSRP is $149.00 & Minc Foil MSRP is $9.99 (foil is 12”x 10’)
  • Minc Foil Applicator and accessories are available at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, and also at locally owned craft stores and online shops
  • The Minc is a fairly light weight and pretty enough to leave out on your crafting table!
  • It has the ability to accept a 12” wide sheets
  • It has adjustable heat settings that allows for foil transfer on sensitive materials like vellum, all the way to more robust chipboard and even thin wood veneer

As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!
