Hosting a tailgate party this year? Or, three or four? {grin} I’m about to show you how to make the easiest football cake topper eva! {wink} It’s a goalpost and it takes about 2 minutes. It’s perfect for a Super Bowl party too.
To make this football goalpost cake topper, you’ll need:
- Lollipop sticks
- Hot glue
- Brown cardstock (I used Core’dinations from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores)
- Optional: Cricut Explore Design Space file or scissors and a white Elmer’s Painters Marker to draw on the laces
Super simple tutorial:
- Apply hot glue to the ends of two lollipops and hold for 20 seconds. Repeat until you’ve created the shape of the goalpost. I suggest using a piece of wax paper on your table if you want to use the table for balance.
- For the football, a pair of sharp scissors and a marker to make the laces, or use my Cricut file linked above.
Prefer cupcakes? Just use scissors to cut the lollipop sticks and make them smaller. Hop over and see the full post. Get exact sizes and even more tailgate ideas. You can also find those cute cupcake wrappers!
Wanna know how to make the chalk paint cake plate? I can also teach you how to make the GAME ON popcorn bags! Make sure you hop over and check out all my tailgate party posts. We like football so there is are quite a few. {wink}
As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!
