I love to craft, especially when it’s easy! {wink} So for this DIY apron project I picked up some child size aprons (I think they were $1.99 each), stencils ($3.99 for a pack of 30 designs and I used my bi-weekly 40% off coupon), sponge brushes ($.50 each) and fabric paint ($1 each) at JoAnn Fabrics and Craft Stores. And I grabbed some wax paper to protect the surface underneath.
The process was super easy. I placed my stencils (the shape stencil from the store and one I homemade with my Cricut machine, because I really wanted it to say “YUM!”) where I wanted them on the apron. Next I dabbed the paint (making sure the paint was spread evenly over the sponge) on while holding the stencil down with the other hand. I let it dry for a few hours and all done!
For this project, I also created that fun ice cream balloon favor our little model is holding and Sew Jewell designed the super fun ice cream outfit she’s wearing.
