I’m hosting my annual Christmas cookie decorating party this coming Monday and that means fun food, creative jars of candies and lots of sprinkles. {grin}
Most of you know my youngest has severe food allergies. Where my favorite candy is and will always be any form of chocolate {smirk}, his is gum.
I got these bright red gum balls from Candy Galaxy. They’re perfect in an apothecary jar, as holly berries on a wreath cake {oooh! Idea!}, or to package as class party favors. You have to stop in, they have every color!
For our party, I made this fun little tag, “Have A Ball This Christmas!” What can I say… I like puns. To make your own you’ll need:
- Darice white frame gift tags
- Scotch Washi Tape
- Elmer’s Glue Dots
- Darice red/white baker’s twine
- Scissors (small detail scissors for trimming tape and whimsy frame scissors for the top sign)
- White paper
And for the easy steps:
- Washi – apply tape at equal distances and trim off excess
- Glue Dot – add a glue dot to the center of the tag
- Message – in Word, type a message in pretty fonts
- Edge – cut the paper edge with a whimsy scissor, or straight edge, whatever you have
Sometimes it’s the little touches at a party that really make your guests smile. Happy Wednesday everyone. Only six more days to Christmas!!! {grin}
As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!
