Frankenstein Pallet For The Front Porch

Frankenstein is one of my favorite Halloween monsters! I’m not into scary, so I made my Frankenstein pallet cute. If he’s going to be hanging out on the front porch he can’t scare my trick-or-treaters away! {wink}

Did you see my Teal Pumpkin Project? That’s what you see peeking out on the right. If you’ve not heard about it, make sure you hop over. It’s all about including all the little ghosts and goblins in your neighborhood by offering non-food treats and non-allergy treats on Halloween night.

Frankenstein Pallet How To

For this super easy Halloween craft, you’ll need a few things from JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores:

  • Wooden pallet (in Wood Crafting section)
  • 2 sizes of googly eyes
  • Black paint & brushes
  • Lime green spray paint
  • Black Painter’s pen
  • Black foam
  • Scissors
  • Elmer’s Xtreme glue
  • Pencil

How To Make A Frankenstein | Kim Byers

Easy steps for the Frankenstein pallet:

  1. Spray paint – spray the pallet with two coats and allow to dry overnight
  2. Face – using a pencil, lightly draw the hair and face
  3. Outline – using a Painter’s Pen, outline the facial features
  4. Paint – paint on hair, scars and mouth
  5. Cut – cut out two bolts. I recommend cutting one out and using it as a template for the second so that they’re the same size.
  6. Glue – glue eyes and bolts in place. Allow to set for at least 15 minutes before moving, and overnight before placing with your other Halloween décor.

I’ve made other pallet projects, like this DIY Countdown to Halloween. My kids love switching out the numbers every day in October and it’s big enough for all the neighborhood kids to countdown with us.

You’re also going to want to download my free Halloween printables: 3-D Bat Banner in Orange and Black and a sweet Green and Black Frankenstein Banner.

As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!
