My kids have the pretty wicker Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny pours sweet treats and a little gift into. But honestly, I don’t want them dragging it around the yard all day and getting it dirty while hunting eggs. {wink} Let’s get crafty and make personalized Easter egg pails in just 10 minutes!
So I picked these simple pails up from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores and used my Cricut Explore Air to whip up some personalized Easter pails! What’s best, my boys got to have input. They could actually play around with the Cricut Design Space app for iPad® and add different design elements they liked.
I also made a general one that said “HOPPY EASTER” in case anyone forgets theirs. Or if I want to hunt a few eggs. {wink} It might just be my favorite.
And if you have a child with an “O” in their name the ears work great there too. Or just add the ears to another letter in their name.
Supplies For Easter Egg Pails
- Metal pails (in the craft paint section of my Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores)
- White vinyl, Cricut
- Transfer tape, Cricut (it’s worth it!)
- Cricut Explore Air (or Cricut Explore with bluetooth adapter)
- Cricut Design Space app for iPad® (or desktop version)
- DESIGN: my Hoppy Easter with ears design in Design Space
- DESIGN: my monogram with eggs and bunnies, easily personalized in Design Space
- Regular Cricut Mat
Steps To Make Easter Egg Pails
- Design – Open my project in Design Space. Customize it any way you like. Change the colors, make it longer, resize it. Then send it to your Cricut Explore Air to cut.
- Transfer – using transfer paper, apply the design to the pail. It’s as easy as putting on a sticker with transfer tape!
- Play – add grass, and eggs and play.
It’s that easy! {smile}
