Make a raindrop papercraft banner for your baby shower! It’s super simple to sew with a few tips.
To create this banner, you’ll need:
- Two to three tones of blue cardstock
- Sharp scissors
- Sheet of plain white paper
- Wax paper
- White or light blue thread
- Clear tape
- Sewing machine
Easy how to steps:
- Make a template – cut a raindrop shape from the piece of white paper. Use it as a template to cut raindrops from the different tones of blue paper.
- Stitch set-up – cut strips of wax paper.
- Sew – slowly stitch raindrops onto wax paper, allowing long leads between each paper raindrop and a long lead before the first raindrop. I suggest alternating tones of blue as well.
- Tear away – when you’re all done, carefully tear the wax paper away leaving just the banner.
- Hang – hang from ceiling with a piece of clear tape.
I chose to hang my raindrop banner among a cloud of balloons. Just a bunch of 10 inch transparent helium balloons, but they make wonderful height to the dessert table. The umbrella is a nice add too. It’s a Totes kids bubble umbrella.
