Let’s make darling pattern vinyl mugs for Christmas with the Cricut Maker! I’ve fallen hard for this red and black plaid premium vinyl. I just want to put it on everything for Christmas!
And don’t you just adore the MERRY CHRIST MAS mug. So simple, and so dang cute! All three of these cut files are already in Cricut Design Space and I’ve linked it below.

- Cricut Maker
- Standard Grip Mat
- Weeding Tool
- Design Space File – All Three Mugs
Video – How To Make Pattern Vinyl Mugs
This pattern vinyl mug craft is so easy to make. Let me show you in this quick video on my YouTube channel.
In this video, I’ll teach you how to:
- Set up your file in Design Space,
- Cut with you Cricut Maker, and
- Transfer the Design to your Mug.
How To Care For Vinyl Mugs
I prefer to hand wash my mugs. I have however placed pattern vinyl and everyday vinyl in the dishwasher on accident before and they survived beautifully, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Glitter vinyl, however, will not survive the dishwasher. Take it from someone who made that mistake! The vinyl will make it out, but the glitter comes right off!
